Dr. Morlaye will assess your body and spine’s alignment and function in both static and dynamic positions. He will develop a program that may include hands-on intervention, manipulation, cupping, Gua Sha, joint mobilization, kinesio taping and pointed exercise to facilitate your body’s fullest postural potential.

Stress, overuse, weakness and poor posture can often cause severe muscle tension resulting in stiffness and knots. These knots are medically referred to as, “myofascial trigger points”. A person’s trigger points can often cause chronic pain and may effect movement and range of motion. The chronic pain can often make it difficult to participate in daily and sporting activities, engaging with our families and even effect our sleep.

Dr. Morlaye will access his patient’s trigger points and analyze lifestyle factors that may be causing these painful “hot spots”. Through a combination of manual manipulation, body/joint realignment, stretching, strengthening and postural adjustment, Dr. Morlaye will release and alleviate them.

Patients will leave with less pain, greater muscle mobility and function as well as the knowledge on how to maintain a pain-free lifestyle.

Although continual physical activity in the realm of sports and intense exercise is good for our bodies on many levels, it can also contribute to severe joint degeneration, muscle pain, stiffness and tendinosis/tendonitis if these activities are performed repetitively. Dr. Morlaye will perform an in-depth analysis of your body’s movement as it corresponds to your sports-related physical activities. He will find points of weakness, misalignment, faults in functional movement, and “areas in jeopardy.” He may use strategies such as joint mobilization, muscle energy technique, specialized taping, trigger point release, cupping, Gua Sha, and myofascial release to achieve the desired result.
